A Failure of Consevative Americans

I love cars, and that's the reason why I usually watch the cars on streets whenever I have the chances. One thing attracts my attention is the popularity of the Japanese cars right in the U.S which is known as a paradise for carmakers.Years ago, American automotive manufacturers as GM, Ford and Chrysler were the dominators on the auto market. The biggest market were on the hands of these giants, and no one could compete with them. However, this number one position was changed rapidly in the past decade. The acceding of Japanese carmakers such as Honda and Toyota has push several American traditional manufacturers into bankruptcy hole in which some of them had to receive the help of government to be existed.
I usually go working out at the Lake Merrit. One day after parking my car, I looked at the cars parking along the pavement. Can you imagine what I realized? I saw 12 cars, and 9 of them were Honda brand. What does this figure represent? I tried to think of the points that create the spectacular victory for the Japanese in the traditional industry of American in the U.S. Here is what I came up with:
The mother mistake that caused the whole industry to collapse was the conservation of the leaders among GM and Ford. GM and Ford was lead by a conservative generation that insisted the ancient value of Americans. They respected the workers too much and gave them too many benefits, too much power which became a big burden for the companies' budget. In addition, the conservatism obstructed the development, the adaption and the ability to make changes that are extremely important in the global economic environment today. As a result, they manufactured the products that did not match the consumers' demands. The SUVs were still their major product lines while the gas price was going up. In contrast, the Japanese carmakers make small, easy-to-use, save-gas, run-well cars with great exterior and reasonable prices. With those problems lasted for long time, the failure of American carmakers was an inevitable consequence.
Recently, GM and Ford start making the small cars, and I increasingly see them running on streets. It is a wonderful sign for the rehabilitation of one of the biggest pride of the world-leading country.

GG!

What do you think the GG might be? It could be various things. For my own use, I name it Great Google.
Years ago, when somebody asked you something that you did not know, you would say "I don't know". In these days, you won't say "I don't know". Instead, you would say "I don't have the Internet". That is true. You can find everything you want to know on the Internet, from merchandises to the information. Internet is the great innovation of human, but you could probably not to be able to find the information you need if there isn't Google. Google was born giving us a wonderful tool to search. I work at a gas station, and fortunely it has the Internet access. So I just bring my laptop to workplace and do anything I want while still making the paycheck. I am attending a college, and as you know, all the students have to go online in order to get the homework done so I really need a search machine to do my homework. Again, thanks Larry Page and Sergey Brin (I just went to Google to get their correct names.Hehehhe). Thanks Google. Everything I need, I just click on the Google. I need the information for my business class' project, click on Google. I need to find the closest Best Buy, click on Google. My computer has some troubles, and I need to solve them. Click on Google. Shortly, Google is all. It founders are now billionares, and they deserve for that simply because it is Google.
That is the reason why I call it GG: Great Google.

how to set up a network

What you need
Here's the specific hardware you 'll need to set up your wired network:
  1. Network interface cards (on a wired network, ome for each PC; on a wireless network, just one for the main PC)
  2. Network hub or router (one for the entire network)
  3. Ethrnet cable (on a wired network, one for each PC and another for your broadband modem; on a wireless network, one the main PC and a second for the broadband modem)
  4. Wireless adapters ( one for each client PC)
Making the connections
Naturally, you should follow the instructions that come with your networking hardware to properly set up your network. In general, however, here are the steps to take:
  1. Power down your main computer and remove the system unit case.
  2. Install a network interface card into an open expansion slot.
  3. Close up the case, reboot the computer, and run the NIC installation software.
  4. Run an Ethernet cable from your broadband modem to your router/hub.
  5. Run and Ethernet cable from the router/hub to your main computer.
  6. Connect your hub or router to a power source.
  7. Run Network Setup Wizard on your main computer to set up your network.
  8. If you are connecting a wired network, repeat steps 6 and 7 on each of the other computers on the network.
  9. If you are connecting a wireless network, move onto the second computer in your network and install a wireless networking adapter-either internally, via an expansion card, or externally via USB. (Or, if your second PC is a laptop, insert a wireless networking PC card).
  10. Run the installation software to properly configure the wireless adapter.
  11. Run the Newwork Setup Wizard on the second computer to connect it to your new network.
